CrazyWave ("we", "us", "our") is a social media app that lets people share posts,
Waves (short videos), stories, and messages. This Privacy Policy explains what information
we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using CrazyWave, you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
- Account information — name, username, email address, password (stored encrypted),
date of birth, and optional profile photo and bio.
- Content you create — photos, videos, stories, posts, comments, captions,
direct messages, and reactions you upload or send.
- Device & permissions — with your consent, we access your camera,
microphone, and photo library only when you choose to capture or upload media.
- Usage data — actions such as likes, follows, views, and general app activity used
to power the feed and recommendations.
- Technical data — device type, app version, and basic diagnostics for reliability.
2. How we use your information
- To create and secure your account and authenticate you.
- To store and display the content you post and share it with the audience you select
(e.g. Everyone or Close Circle).
- To operate core features: feed, Waves, stories, comments, messaging, and notifications.
- To personalize recommendations and keep the community safe (spam, abuse, and fraud prevention).
- To respond to your support requests.
3. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only:
- With other users — content you publish is visible according to your chosen audience.
- With service providers — trusted vendors that host our servers, store media
(cloud object storage), and deliver push notifications, strictly to run the app.
- For legal reasons — if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
4. Media storage
Photos and videos you upload are stored on secure cloud object storage and served over HTTPS.
5. Data retention & deletion
We keep your information while your account is active. Stories are removed automatically after 24 hours.
You can delete individual posts, Waves, stories, or messages at any time. You may delete your entire
account from the app; on deletion we remove your profile and associated content from active systems.

6. Your choices
- Edit or remove your profile information and content at any time.
- Control who can see your stories (Everyone / Close Circle) and manage followers.
- Grant or revoke camera, microphone, and photo permissions in your device settings.
7. Children's privacy
CrazyWave is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country),
and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has provided us information,
contact us and we will delete it.
8. Security
We use industry-standard measures such as encryption in transit (HTTPS) and hashed passwords.
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by
updating the "Effective" date above.
